I was thinking add more RPG elements like more of a story and not just Team Whatever trying to rule the world.

Seriously, pokemon is running out of ideas. Can't they just make an awesome story or actually make a great game instead of good one.

I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

Honestly, it boggles my mind when someone claims the new Pokemon are unoriginal. And then they use a Pigeon Pokemon of all things to say that they ran out of ideas. Why and how does this indicate that? It's one thing to dislike the new Pokemon, it's another thing to say that they ran out of ideas because of one. stupid. design.

People are always saying how the Gen 1 designs are the best, yet when they introduce Pokemon that are similar to those designs(such as Mamepato, Tangrowth, and Carnivine) they start saying that Pokemon has run out of ideas!

....

But yeah, it actually looks like they are adding a story to this game, with important people talking to you in a first person way, rather than just showing the small overworld sprites running around and stuff. And this game already looks better than D/P/Pt and R/S.

Isshu is rumored to be based off New York City, where Pigeons are greatly common. It only makes since that they would base the common bird Pokemon out of pigeons. Besides, I like it. Even if it' shaped just like Starly.

As for the new pokemon, Ononokusu looks pretty awesome (regional Dragon type?). Doryuuzu looks cool, though I'll have to wait for official artwork before I say anything. I can imagine liking Denchura and Moguryuu, though I can only see their backs. I could less for the other Pokemon, especially the Cytoplasm.

EDIT: Some more new Pokemon were shown in leaked artwork for the next anime series (it's legit.)

Just saw it on Pokebeach. Is that Wotter turning into a fighting type? Oh and Smugleaf still looks like Smugleaf.

Also, the new Pokemon girl for the show looks stupid. Especially with that hair.

Er...just wanna say sorry about flipping out. Yeah, I wanted to get my point across, but I didn't have to be a giant prick about.

Anyways, I'm liking Wotter's and Smugleaf's evos. Too bad they didn't have Pignition's. :(

The Eagle and the Chipmunk look insane. The other new ones are pretty good too.

So far, everything is awesome. My only complaint: the new girl (Belle) looks like Barry got a sex change. Original much?

Naaaah. First gen designs are easily the worst. 2nd was a nice jump, and 3rd was the most creative. 4th was alright, and I don't know how 5th will turn out.

Poison cripple leader seemed too ironic/cruel for Pokemon.
And how about those new pokemon:

Also, Wotter has a high Attack stat and they speculate that its final evolution may be Water / Fighting. Its signature attack, Shell Blade, is a Water-type physical attack with a base power of 75, a 95% accuracy, and lowers the opponent's Defense. He describes the animation as "Crush Claw done with a shell."
So water/fighting, sounds cool.
